Has my order shipped yet?
All in-stock orders placed on Kithabay.com ship within 1 - 2 business days after order placement. As soon as your order has been packaged and processed you will receive an email confirming that it has left our warehouse and is safely on its way to you. You may also access your "Account" section of the site to review the order status of recently placed orders as well as your order history.

When will my backorder arrive?
If an item you ordered is placed on "back order" status, one of our Customer Service representatives will send you an email informing you of the delay in shipping. Any and all products that are currently in stock will be shipped immediately. The "back order" email will also inform you of the new estimated shipping date and time.

When will my pre-order arrive?
For most states, your pre-order item will be shipped around seven days prior to release date, and should arrive within a couple of days from the release date. If you have subsequent items you are interested in purchasing with a pre-order item, please keep in mind that all items in your order will ship simultaneously when the last pre-order item is made available. If you wish for your available order items to ship immediately, please place two separate orders.

Step By Step Instructions on How To Place an Order
If you're new to shopping online with us, here is a step-by-step guide to help answer any questions you may have about your shopping experience. If you still have questions after going through this, please contact our Customer Service Department for assistance.

Step 1. Search: Click the category from “Browse Subjects” or to find a specific book type the title or name of the book you are searching for into the search box field (located at the top of our website). Select the type of search you wish to perform (Title, ISBN, Author), and then click the "Search" button.

Step 2. View More Details: You will see a list of products with titles and prices. You can click on the title or "Read more" button for more information about that specific book.

Step 3. Add To Cart: When you've found the book(s) you were searching for, click on "Add to cart" or "Pre-Order" button to place this item in your shopping cart.

Step 4. Your Shopping Cart: Now you have placed an item in your cart, but have not yet bought anything. At any time, you can return to this page by clicking on "View Cart" (located at the top-right side of our website) to see what items you currently have in your shopping cart.

Step 5. Change the Quantity: If you'd like to, you can change the quantity of items to order by typing the new quantity in the "Quantity" box of your shopping cart and then clicking "Update Quantity". This will also automatically update your subtotal. If you want to remove an item from your shopping cart, check the "Remove Box" next to item and click “Update Quantity” button.

Step 6. Continue Shopping: If you're viewing your shopping cart and you want to find more products, click on "Continue Shopping" below the shopping cart and repeat steps 1-5 above or select the category from “Browse Subjects”.

Step 7. Checkout: If all the products you want to buy are in your shopping cart, go to your shopping cart then click the red "Proceed to Checkout" button.

Step 8. Login or Register: You will be asked to enter your e-mail address and your password (if you already have a login password). If you haven't registered here before, click “Register" button. On the next page, you are asked to fill in your name, email id and password. After filling out those fields, click on the "Next" button to continue through our Secured checkout system. **Note: registering with us is completely free of charge

Step 9. Billing Information If you have not registered with us before, on the next page it will ask you to fill in your Billing information. After filling this area out, click "Next" button below or click "Edit “ to update the Billing information.

Step 10. Shipping Information: On the next page it will ask you to fill in your Shipping Address. After filling this area out, click "Next" button below or click "Edit" button to update Shipping information.

Step 11. Payment Information: On the next page it will ask you to fill in your Payment information. After filling this area out, click "Submit Order" button below.

Step 12. Finish: Finally, after reviewing that all of your information is correct, click "Process Order" button (located below the Order Summary fields) to complete your order. After you've finished your order, you will be notified via email with a receipt for your order.

Having Problems Staying Logged In?
The problem you may be experiencing is your "cookie" settings. Cookies essentially store information inside your browser and help with making it easier for tasks, such as ordering online. Some browsers, however, have difficulty storing cookies and can sometimes "dump" the cookies after each page view. This seems to be the problem, and one solution may be deleting these files. Sometimes, a cookie cache can be stored for long periods of times and build up a lot of files, hence slowing down your computer and disabling the cookie settings after a limit has been reached. A question confirming the deletion will appear, click yes. You also need to delete the second box as well, that simply says Delete Files. To help speed up your computer, you may also delete your offline files as well. This will help speed up performance. What are my payment choices?
Kithabay.com offers several different payment options. You can pay through your Credit Card, Cheques, Demand Drafts, Money Orders, Cash On delivery (COD) or Direct Deposit in our bank account.

Credit & Debit cards: With our secure online checkout system you can use cards like VISA, MASTER CARD, AMERICA EXPRESS, DINERS CLUB, and CITIBANK E-CARDS. Debit cards from Citibank, ICICI Bank, UTI Bank, IDBI Bank, Centurion Bank and HDFC Bank. Your card will not be charged until your order is shipped.

Cash On Delivery (COD): Apart from Shipping & Handling charges, 5% service charges will be applied to all COD orders. For example : Cost of book(s) is Rs 100.00, Shipping & Handling Cost Rs 10.00 (Total Rs 110.00), there will be 5% service charges on Rs 110.00 which is Rs 5.50.

Direct Deposit: Order amount can be directly deposited in our account. After order amount is deposited send an email with the details. Once the amount gets deposited your order will be shipped.

What if my item is on backorder?
Here at Kithabay.com we endeavor to keep as many items in stock as we can. However, occasionally an item may be on 'backorder' through one of our distributors. When this takes place one of our customer service representatives will email you with a new expected time & date for when this item should ship. We will not charge your card on a backorder item until it is ready to ship and you can cancel a backorder product at any time. You will also not receive any additional shipping charges on a backorder item as your shipping charges are computed on your total shipped order, regardless of item availability. Any out of stock item will be shipped immediately when it becomes available (weekends and holidays excepted). If Priority, Express, or Ground shipping was chosen on the original order, Kithabay.com reserves the right to ship backordered items by a downgraded shipping method.

What is your Return Policy?
Items can be returned within 10 days of original order shipment. Exceptions include: orders that were damaged, late or otherwise affected in any way due to our error. If an item is damaged or there is a manufacturer defect we will replace the item free of charge and send you the replacement. If the item is not damaged but you wish to return it, you may do so and we will credit your account for the product's cost once we receive the return item(s).
