Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions:
1.	Gift certificates and unused portions of gift certificates should be spent within 18 months from the date of issuance, which is the "spend by" date included on the gift certificate. Gift certificate holders will be given an additional 6-month grace period to spend their gift certificates, and gift certificates and unused portions of gift certificates will expire two years from the date of issuance, which is the "expires" date included on the gift certificate
2.	Gift certificates cannot be used to purchase gift certificates, such as Kithabay.com Gift Certificates.
3.	Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund.
4.	Any unused balance will be placed in the recipient's gift certificate account and is not transferable. The original expiration date will apply to any unused balance.
5.	If your order exceeds the amount of your gift certificate, you must pay for the balance with a credit card, or Bank Card or Money Order or Demand Draft.
6.	Gift certificate cash value is 1/10 of one paise.
7.	Gift certificates and their use on the Kithabay.com Web site are subject to Kithabay.com's general Conditions of Use and Privacy Notice.
8.	We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.
9.	Kithabay.com will have the right to close customer accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained gift certificate is either redeemed through the Kithabay.com Web site or is redeemed and used to make purchases on the Kithabay.com Web site.
10.	Kithabay.com may provide gift certificate purchasers with information about the redemption status of gift certificates.
11.	Occasionally Kithabay.com will offer Promotional Gift certificates, these Promotional Gift Certificates will expire on the date mentioned on the certificate.

	Gift Certificate is a program offered by Kithabay.com that allows you to send electronic Rupees to family and friends (or yourself!) who can then use them online to purchase books at Kithabay.com (Kithabay Gift Certificates are redeemable exclusively on www.Kithabay.com)
2.	What forms of Gift Certificates are available?
	1. Email Gift Certificate – Where Gift certificate is sent to Recipient’s email address. 2. Paper Gift Certificate - Where a Paper Gift Certificate is sent to Recipient’s postal address.
3.	Will Kithabay Gift Certificate Expires?
	Yes. Kithabay Gift Certificates valid for 24 months.
4.	Are there any hidden fees?
	No. There are no hidden fees.
5.	How to Order Kithabay Gift Certificates?
	Ordering Gift certificate is just like ordering any book at Kithabay. Simply click on Gift Certificate and enter Sender’s Name, Recipient’s Name, Gift Message, Recipient’s email address, Recipient’s postal address (for Paper Gift Certificate), Amount (in Indian Rupees). Once all the information is entered, if you have not logged in already, login to your account, choose the payment method and submit the Order.

7.	Can I buy Kithabay Gift certificates of any amount?

8.	How do I know if a Kithabay Gift certificate has been sent?
	If Payment has been made using Credit/Debit Card, Gift Certificate will be activated immediately and an email will be sent to sender & Recipient. If other payment methods like Direct Deposit, Demand Draft, Cheques and Money Order are used then the status of Gift Certificate will be in Pending and only the sender will receive the email. Recipient will not receive any email. Once payment is cleared, gift certificate will be activated and both sender & Recipient will receive email. If you have selected Paper Gift Certificate, it will be sent thru our standard shipping method.
9.	Any Shipping & Handling Charges for Kithabay Paper Gift Certificates?
	No
10.	Can you resend the Gift Certificate as my Recipient lost email or never received one?
	Yes! You can login to your Account and resend Kithabay Gift Certificate to your original recipients. You can also call customer service to send.
11.	What are the Payment methods for Kithabay Gift Certificate?
	You can pay for your Gift Certificate Order with Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Cheques, Demand Drafts, Direct Deposit and Money Order. No Cash On Delivery (COD) Please.
12.	Can I/Recipient use Kithabay Gift Card immediately?
	Yes. If you have purchased Gift certificate by using Credit/Debit Card it gets activated immediately, where as if you have chosen other payment methods (Cheques, Demand Drafts, Direct Deposit and Money Order), once the amount gets cleared, Gift certificate gets activated. An email will be sent to Sender & Recipient about the status.
13.	Does Recipient need to have an email Id to receive the Kithabay Gift Certificate?
	Yes. For security reasons we need valid email id of the Recipient. This will avoid unauthorized persons from claiming the Gift certificate.
14.	Can I return books purchased using Gift Certificate?
	Yes you can return the book within the valid return period (10 days) and the amount used to pay for the book with Gift certificate will be credited to the Gift Certificate.
15.	Can I cancel my Gift Certificate Order?
	Yes you can cancel it as long as it’s in payment authorization or Pending Payment. Once payment is made you cannot cancel the gift certificate order.
16.	Can I check the balance amount in Gift Certificate?
	Yes, Login to your account and check the balance in Gift certificate.
17.	Can Kithabay.com promotional gift certificate date be extended?
	No. They cannot be extended.They automatically expire on the date mentioned on the Promotional Gift certificate.
